The Starting Line

This was a huge first step for me. I was out in the local countryside, walking with my dog and an urge to run hit me square in the face. The feeling came out of nowhere, but I obliged with a pathetic attempt at jogging.

Jogging just under the two minute mark will reveal stark details of my fitness levels to the reader. I’m not embarrassed. I knew the time would be awful.

My plan is to now gradually increase the time I’m able to jog. I’m not basing this endeavour on distance. The kilometres will mount up as the time increases.
